Double Bill 1: Mountview Postgraduate Directors' season

Riddance by Linda McLean
Directed by Miguel Guerreiro

This production is part of a double-bill with Third Floor.

Can we ever escape our past? And overcome our fears?

An abusive, traumatic father.
A child given away.
A boy living upstairs who may not exist.
The noises we hear that may not be there.
A terrifying landing.

And the fear of being found out.

London, late-nineties. Three old friends – Kenny, Clare and Frank – are bound together by the shared memories of surviving childhood in a Glasgow tenement twenty years earlier. Kenny and Clare have long kept the truth hidden from Frank. But when he pays them an unexpected visit, their most deeply buried secrets are about to come out. Will they survive this day of Riddance?
