Table Ronde

This event is part of:

A discussion for all interested in shaping further celebrations of French language theatre in the capital.

With London the sixth largest French city*, The Cockpit presents a week of Francophone theatre and events; plus a table-ronde discussion for all those interested in shaping further celebrations of French language theatre in the capital. We invite everyone and anyone interested in French language and culture to join us on Thursday 11 October, 3pm, to share in an open discussion about French culture in London:

  • How should we celebrate, publicise and support the diverse range of French language cultural acitivity already taking place in London?
  • How can we encourage more French language performances and events to take place in the city?
  • How useful would it be to have an annual festival of French theatre and how could we make this happen?

*By population. The French Consulate estimates 300-400,000 French nationals in London (population of Nice: 344,000). London's LSE argues this figure is nation-wide, and puts London around the 20th largest French City. Still, that's a lot; n'est-ce pas?
