Ekata Theatre is an international theatre company producing physical performance in London, Helsinki and beyond. We aim to make relatable, resonant and relevant work that transcends linguistic and national borders. Ekata was founded in 2017 by director, choreographer and performer Erika Eva. Erika's work has been compared to Complicité and Isango Ensemble (London Pub Theatre, 2018) for her inventive use of prop-play and transformations. Her pieces feature a blend of devising and precise choreography using object manipulation and hand-held lights, always with a touch of humour.
