We are right near Church Street market with its cafés and shops - and just opposite the amazing Alfies Antiques if you are looking for something really special (and cheap). Or just looking (at things that are astonishingly expensive). We have a comfy licenced coffee bar where you can relax, and welcoming staff to make you feel at home. Buses pass nearby along Lisson Grove and Edgware Road, and Marylebone and Edgware Road stations are within a few minutes walk.
Age range? Usually people from 5 to 95 will be happy. But for everyone's enjoyment and safety...
Our shows are for families with children rather than babies or toddlers. Unless otherwise stated, you can assume a child over 5 will be happy but a child of 2 may well be bored - or even scared (it's dark in the auditorium!).
Please keep children with you at all times as we are unable to admit or look after unaccompanied children at all. The space is not designed for really young children - swing doors and steps are just some of the potential hazards to small children left unattended.
We don't admit unaccompanied children or unaccompanied adults. Our family events are for adults and children together.
We have no baby changing facilities at The Cockpit but are most certainly breast-feeding friendly and are more than happy to look after pushchairs during shows we advertise as toddler friendly.
We expect adults to help excited children to respect the show, performers, staff and each other. Although there are lots of opportunities for joining in, we ask that adults encourage their children to watch the other bits quietly.
We ask that you bring any distressed or noisy children out of the auditorium where we will be on hand to help with water, juice, etc.
The Auditorium is accessible via 6 steps - although up to 4 wheelchairs can be accommodated in the space by bringing them via our fire exit. If you need assistance or are bringing someone in a wheelchair with you, please let us know in advance so we can be ready to help you
